Tips on looking gorgeous on your wedding day

As it is one of the most important days of her life, a Bride wants to look her best on her wedding day, and the best way to complete her look is by having FLAWLESS make up.

Make up on your wedding day should be subtle and not too distracting. It should simply emphasis your beauty and your features, so brightly coloured eye shadow and dark lipstick should be avoided, for an elegant natural finish.

For traditional ceremonies make up etiquette is usually quite different, and the make up used usually reflects the bright colours of the outfits worn.

The time leading up to the wedding is crucial in getting the desired look on that day.

Quick Make Up Tips

  1. Make sure you book a make-up artist between 2 to 4 months before the wedding day.
  2. Make sure you go for a trial session before the wedding, so that you can see exactly how your face will look on the day.
[Top Tip! - It is a good idea to have a dress rehearsal and take pictures, so you can then check that it will look good.]
  3. Be careful about the colour foundation you choose. Use the foundation that will bring warmth into your face.
  4. The season you are getting married should also have be taken into account. If getting married in the summer months, try to avoid using something that will bring extra shine to your face.
  5. Stick to a long-lasting lipstick, to avoid having to reapply regularly.
[Top Tip! - If using a lip-liner, it is always best to use one that is the same shade as your lipstick.]
